In addition to completing life and health history surveys 2 times a year, VOICES participants may be periodically invited to sign up for substudies.?

Participants who sign up for the optional VOICES of Black Women Blood Substudy will give a small sample of blood that will be used to advance the understanding of Black women¡¯s risk for developing cancer and other health conditions.

Blood is a time capsule that can tell us about genetic ancestry, past or recent exposures, and future disease risk - information that is crucial to obtain in Black women who have been underrepresented in research.?
